German class levels
German classes at the Language Hub are broken down into 6 levels, with each level taking approximately one year to complete. These levels correspond to the levels given by the Common European Framework for Languages. Students start in Level A1, and progress through to level C2. A level C2 certificate acknowledges total fluency in German.

Ariane is one of our German Teachers. She comes from Frankfurt where she learned Latin, French and English at school, and later Spanish at University. She has a Master’s Degree in American Studies from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt with minors in Political Science and Business Studies. She previously worked in tourism but after having two children, who are growing up bilingual, she rediscovered her love for languages, completed a TESOL/TEFL Language Teaching Course and joined Language Hub in 2013.
Svenja is from Hamburg, Germany and holds a master’s and a postgraduate’s degree in teaching. Before coming to New Zealand she has worked as a language teacher teaching German and English in Germany, Nicaragua and Poland.
Svenja combines a broad variety of modern teaching techniques tailored to her students’ needs providing interesting, personalized and highly efficient classes.
