Learn a language online

German class levels
German classes at the Language Hub are broken down into 6 levels, with each level taking approximately one year to complete. These levels correspond to the levels given by the Common European Framework for Languages. Students start in Level A1, and progress through to level C2. A level C2 certificate acknowledges total fluency in German.

Meet your teachers

Marita

Marita is one of our enthusiastic German Teachers. She also speaks English, Spanish and French and has travelled, worked and lived in different parts of the world. Marita has a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing. Furthermore, she is a passionate alternative health practitioner and she also teaches piano. Being so far from home she has adopted a great interest in her own and other people’s cultures. She has been teaching German and English for the last 25 years and believes teaching languages contributes to global peace through mutual understanding and respects for each other’s cultures.

Moe

Moe comes from Germany and has a Master’s Degree in Drama Education from the University of Manchester, UK. Passionate about using theatre for learning and social change, she has taught at various cultural and educational institutions in her home country, the UK, and New Zealand. She fell in love with Aotearoa on a student exchange to Auckland when she was sixteen, and has moved back here in 2017 to teach German at Languange Hub and undertake a PhD in Education. Moe is passionate about meeting people from all over the world, facilitating inspiring transcultural encounters, and harnessing each learner’s unique creative potential to create personal, fun, and lively collaborative learning environments.
